Absolutely loved the 2 day introduction to oil painting. Marc was a fantastic tutor and was encouraging and fun whilst helping the class to learn techniques to improve our painting ability. I was amazed at how much I was able to learn and achieve in just 2 days, and the confidence I built whilst painting 2 pictures over the course. The setting is lovely and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marc if you are looking to enrol in a course.

Wow! What a great tutor and a fantastic painting experience! I was given a 5 lesson oil course with Marc as a birthday present from my husband as I had been promising to paint his favourite scene for a long time and just hadn’t ‘got round to it’ as I was scared of it! A lesson or two with Marc and I was launched into a big version of the scene under his brilliant tutelage and I am so pleased with the result I can’t wait for my husband to see it! I will definitely be enrolling again shortly for more of Marc’s patient, expert tuition. Thank you Marc!

An excellent two day beginner's course. Marc is an entertaining and talented teacher full of great stories. He is patient with students and visitors. We left with some good paintings. Will be returning. Professor David Galvani.

Marc Turner

My joy for art began at a very young age when I was inspired by my fathers drawings. This inspiration led me to begin practicing in watercolours.

I specifically remember looking out towards the hills at Hagenohsen to paint the beautiful landscape in 1984 and realising that not many hobbies could beat this one. From this point on my interest in painting and artwork intensified.

I continued to paint in watercolour with a little dabbling in other mediums for many years, and later decided to take oil painting more seriously and improve my skills. I attended some good courses and practiced my painting daily until I felt good enough to call myself an artist, I have never looked back.

I now look forward to passing on my knowledge and teaching anyone that wishes to develop their painting skills.
