As a complete beginner, I feel I now have a good understanding of the fundamentals and the confidence to practice and learn more on my own. Marc is a great teacher and I was really amazed at what I could produce thanks to his guidance. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

I didn’t expect I would be able to produce anything I could feel proud of going in. After two days I now have a good understanding of what oil paint is (and isn’t) and how to use it to do a few fundamental processes. The three paintings I made amaze me, I didn’t expect to be able to create what I did but thanks to Marc it seemed easy. A colour still life, an impressionistic nature painting and a portrait value study that I’m intending to repeat multiple times. now i even know what colours and brushes to look out for and that was always such a huge terrifyingly complicated thing before. After practice I intend to come back for the intermediate course.
